How to maximize them to succeed?

To be certain that you are working with an agency (and a specific responsible employee) that is well aware of the possible issues you might have to solve during your application and study in Copenhagen or anywhere in Denmark, ask them the following three the question. If their answers are not satisfactory, you should know that you are gambling with your future. Be prepared to deal with different complications on your own!

How does the Danish university application system work – in theory and practice?

The documents are submitted digitally on the website optagelse.dk from 1.02 to 15.03 (1.03 for master’s degrees on another website). By law, each university is required to announce the admission result on July 30. Often some universities announce the results earlier. Before July 30 you can be accepted only at your first wish! (Unless 1 and 2 wish are at the same university.)

In the past years, almost all universities filled their programs with students who have picked the relevant specialty as a first wish. Usually, some of the universities will not conduct an interview with you if you have picked their program as number 2 or lower.

What are your admission chances for some universities and programs?

There are universities and programs that receive applications from a huge number of students and the admission chances there are relatively smaller. You need to ask yourself the following question:

What is more important to me: To be accepted at a certain program at a particular university or to study that program, even at another university?

“I am absolutely sure that my English is perfect. I am sure that I am an excellent candidate and my application will succeed in high competition!” or “I’m not so sure if I’ll be chosen if the competition is fierce, and I’d rather avoid it if I have the chance.”

Here is how we will help you with for you admission in Copenhagen, Aalborg, Aarhus and anywhere else in Denmark:

Thanks to our experience, we have compiled a table with all AP and BA programs and the level of competition. If the competition is extremely high (5), it means that this program receives a large number of candidates. On the other hand, if it is low (1-2), much less students apply there. In the table you will find which universities conduct the interviews. In the cases where the universities will not conduct interviews, the students are accepted on the basis of the cover letter, the grades from high school, as well as thanks to different additional qualifications (certificates of courses, internships, etc.) submitted by the candidates. Finally, the list shows which campuses offer temporary student accommodation.

Your admission chances in all programs with high competition (4 or 5) are completely real. If you really want to study this program at this particular university, then do not hesitate to put your choice as your first wish! Of course, if you believe in yourself or are not interested in anything else, we keep our fingers crossed and fully support your choice. On the other hand, if you want to be sure that you will be accepted, you can always choose a program as your first choice with less competition.

How to choose the most suitable university and specialty? Where are your chances of admission the highest?

If possible, always choose several programs at one university. It is possible to choose the same program, but in a different faculty in another city. In this case, all desires will have a high chance of success. You can also choose another (2nd) completely different specialty at the same university. Do not forget to explain why you have choses it as a second priority in your motivational letter.

Choose your program and university according to your strategy for success. If you prefer security and want to increase your chances of admission, it is better to choose a university and a specialty with lower competition.
