What is the program all about?

Hospitality and Tourism Management in Denmark is a program that will provide you with a unique opportunity to receive theoretical and practical training in everything related to the field of services, hospitality, tourism, sport and event management. You should be aware that at the very beginning of the year you will receive detailed information about the different paths you will be able to take and right there you will have to make your choice – namely, what to do in the future!

Each of you will have to decide whether you want to look for realization in a travel agency, hotel or restaurant (large and small chains), sports clubs, company or organization that organizes various events, concerts, festivals, weddings or just birthdays of famous or quite ordinary people. You will have general lectures, but also those from the respective field, and your projects will mostly be focused on this particular field. You will solve real problems of hotels, travel agencies and sports clubs. Usually, you will be visited by representatives of these industries with a request for help, and if you perform well, it is very possible that your decision will be implemented in the next yearly quarter! This in turn hides great opportunities, as any company would be happy to hire the person or group of students that has saved them hundreds of thousands of Danish krona for a period of 1-2 months! Here you will study subjects such as Project Management, Customer Relations, Economics, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Business Planning and others.

Admission requirements and needed documents.

For your documents to be reviewed, you must have:
English – level B.
Mathematics – level С.

1. Motivation letter.
2. Diploma for completed secondary education or academic transcript (for the last 3 years with grades and number of hours of teaching).
3. Verification form.
4. Copy of your ID card or passport.
5. English certificate.

What can you continue studying or where can you work?

After completing the AP degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management in Denmark, you can continue to enrich your knowledge in the field of tourism in Denmark or the stream you have chosen. You will have the opportunity to enroll in several Top up programs:
International Hospitality Management
Sport Management
International Sales and Marketing Management
Innovation and Entrepreneurship

You can also review other top up or bachelor’s degrees in Denmark. If you want to continue your education outside of Denmark, this is also possible. Contact us to avoid mistakes.

Even if you do not continue your education, with this degree you will be able to work in various positions in hotels, restaurants, museums, festivals, sports organizations, government organizations, airlines, national parks and all kinds of tourist attractions.

Personal opinion and practical experience

I had the opportunity to work with a large travel agency for one of my larger projects. The interesting thing about the Danish education is that we are looking for companies and we can help them thanks to what we have learnt at the university. My group worked together with Wonderful Copenhagen, which is one of the largest tourism organizations in Denmark. Their future vision was that tourists arriving in Denmark would want to experience the local way of life. We spent a month and a half talking to tourists in different cities in Denmark to find out if this is the case, and then we worked on a few solutions that we provided! The decisive factor were the numerous conversations with our teachers, who helped us a lot to make the right decisions during the whole process.
