(Graphic) Design, Technology and Business – UCN
My story with DanBul Study started when I realized that I was heading in the wrong direction. All my life I thought I was not ready to leave Bulgaria. For this reason, I applied and started my education at a university in Bulgaria. It took me less than a month to realize that this was not the place for me.
Before I found out about DanBul Study, I went to another agency to get answers to the questions I had about Denmark. When I asked about the program Design, Technology and Business, I was told that there is no such program and a bunch of other things that I thought were wrong. Fortunately, I have a classmate who is studying in Denmark. I talked to her and it was she who directed me to DanBul Study. I dug a little deeper and said to myself, this will be it!
I was surprised when I received an answer 2 minutes after writing to Anton. We had a video call and I didn’t even need time to think about whether I wanted to work with them – I WANTED! There’s no need to lie, I didn’t know what was going on, before we started working. I hadn’t done my research. I just knew I wanted to be in Aalborg and study graphic design. But then I got all the information I needed just like that!
Of course, you can’t go without tension. Personally, I was worried if I would be able to do everything on time, because I was overwhelmed with tasks from the university, but when you have a serious person next to you, you know that everything will be fine. Friendship went hand in hand with professionalism – thanks to that attitude, I never bothered to ask my dumbest question.
Motivation. Thanks to it, I succeeded. That was the most important thing to me. Although I was motivated and said to myself, this is what I want and this is what I will get, there were times when I said to myself, “What if something goes wrong?” I am grateful to Anton for never allowing me to give up and for keeping me motivated. I learnt never to be satisfied with the minimum – if I am required to jump 2 meters, then I will jump 3. Always give more of yourself, of what you think you can. I do not regret a single penny I have given, because the result is clear – I am writing this from Aalborg. My dream came true thanks to DanBul Study and my efforts. The end result is priceless.
Keep in mind that they are not only preparing you for applying to a university, but also for your life in Denmark. So many things could have gone wrong since I’ve moved to Denmark. It’s different when I know in advance how things should happen. I am sure that even after 2 years they will still be available to help me! I am grateful for everything and I am very happy that I made the right decision. One piece of advice to all future students: if you want something strong enough and you fight for it, you will get it. Exceed your own expectations and never settle for less. Show how excited you are and next year we will have coffee together in Aalborg.
