Copenhagen Airport… Then, where to?

Landing at Copenhagen Airport, you should expect an adventure (especially if you have not traveled alone by plane so far), as it is one of the biggest airports in Europe! Do not worry! We will prepare you for everything you need to know inside and outside. If you need to catch a train or bus to the city where you will live, you should leave the airport through Terminal 3. Most likely, you will have to buy a ticket from the red ticket machines before leaving the terminal. Our experience shows that this is a difficult task for most foreigners. Transport Network in the Danish Cities

The public transport tickets in each city cost differently. The public transport map is divided into zones and the cost of each trip depends on how many zones you will go through.

However, there is the so-called “travel card” – Rejsekort, which can be ordered online or purchased from various points in the city (including from the airports in Copenhagen and Billund). The card is recharged with money, which will allow you to travel anywhere in the country. It provides a big discount – if the normal ticket costs 22 kroner, then with the card it will be reduced to 11 kroner. The other advantage is that the more you use the card, the bigger the discount gets.

Intercity transport in Denmark:

Here the options are train, bus or plane. Starting with the rail, it would be appropriate to add that traveling by train to Denmark without a discount or without a discount card is quite expensive. Of course, there are a number of options to get it cheaper. 😉

Ticket Discounts in Denmark

As you might already know, the bus and train tickets for the intercity transport are not cheap at all – depending on your destination your ticket can easily exceed 50 EURO.
