Personal opinion and practical experience

Most courses focus mainly on theory and less on practice. You will have homework assignments, where you will be able to practice the new theory. However, in general, the main place where you will be able to apply everything you have learned will be during the semester project. Moreover, there will be visits to different companies, where you will see up close how the companies work. Furthermore, during the “workshops”, you will be able to apply the various production processes (such as soldering, bending, drilling, milling). Motivation is a huge factor for success, as well as regular learning and solving homework if you want to become a good professional. In general, the profession is in great demand and the starting salary for a newly graduated engineer is between 20,000 – 40,000 krona.
