Admission:

What are the admission requirements? – High school diploma, English language certificate, strong motivation to study in Denmark.

Which hours of instruction matter? – The hours in Mathematics and English are what matters. Some programs also have requirements for history, physics, biology and chemistry.

Do all universities conduct interviews? – Every year, each universitiy individually decides whether to conduct interviews or not. For the programs with higher competition, the interviews are almost always compulsory. Interviews are usually held in May. Every student who applies with Dan-Bul Study has the opportunity to go through a detailed training to be completely relaxed during their interview.

When are the admission results published? – The official date is July 28. Most universities send preliminary letters in June.

Accommodation:

Is the accommodation provided by the university? – Not usually. Finding student accommodation in Denmark is a complex process that involves submitting documents well in advance and before the official admission letters are sent out. Almost all websites are in Danish, but we will help you with each of the necessary steps to be approved for the accommodation you want. The earlier you submit the documents, the nicer and cheaper your accommodation will be. All accommodation documents (contracts) are entirely in Danish!

There are several types of student dormitories:

1. Private one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, toilet and kitchenette.
2. Two separate one-bedroom apartments that share a bathroom and a toilet. The kitchen is common for the whole floor / corridor – usually for 10 rooms.
3. Private room – shared kitchen, bathrooms and toilets for the whole floor / corridor.
4. Accommodation in a large apartment with several other students, each with its own room with common areas – living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, balcony and other.

Expenses:

The student life in Denmark is a dream come true. The income of a working student is almost twice his/her expenses. The cost of food in the smaller cities is around 200-250 euros per month. This amount does not include the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes and food from restaurants or fast food restaurants. The student dormitories are vary from 220 to 350 euros, depending on your preferences. Cycling is a great option to avoid public transport. The prices for second-hand bikes are around 50 euros.
